"Recycle and meet Giannis Antetokounmpo" | 5-Day Trip to Milwaukee, USA (2019)

The Panhellenic Educational Recycling Competition at Secondary Education Schools and Sports Academies "Recycle and meet Giannis Antetokounmpo!" ended with unprecedented success.

Students and athletes aged 12 to 18 from all over Greece participated in the Grand Competition and recycled more than 3,000,000 items of packaging, achieving a new Panhellenic Record!

For the first time, alongside schools, sports academies from all over the country responded to the call of the National Collective System REWARDING RECYCLING and recycled plastic, metal and glass packaging material to the "Rewarding Recycling Kiosks" and the "Environmental Education and Rewarding Recycling Parks" at Agioi Anargyroi and Lagkada in Thessaloniki.

The three classes, who managed to recycle the most packaging, were rewarded with the most exciting gifts!

1st prize-prize, a 5-day trip to Milwaukee, won by students of class B3 of Maroullios General High School in Katsika, Ioannina, who recycled 1,271,138 items of packaging and had the unique opportunity to see GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO in the NBA playoffs.

2nd Prize-prize, an Action Camera, a Smartwatch, and a Milwaukee Bucks shirt signed by GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO, were won by athletes at the Athletic Academy of the EFAO Zografou, who recycled 750,566 items of packaging.

3rd prize-prize, a Milwaukee Bucks shirt signed by GIANNIS ANTETOKOUNMPO, was won by students of class A1 at the 9th Gymnasium of Ioannina, who recycled 221,448 items of packaging.

Please note that all prizes are for all students and athletes of the winning schools and sports academies.

The active participation of young people in the competition is the most optimistic message for environmental education of the new generation.
